Installation Guides:

Assembling the Tempest Plastic Stanchion

  • STEP 1

Pull 1 to 2 feet of belt out of the stanchion and pinch against or wrap around post to prevent it from retracting.

  • STEP 2

Prop base on its side and pass the belt-end through hole in bottom of base, then push post through. Align post so belt is facing away from handle (cutout) on base.

  • STEP 3

Stand post upright, step on base, and tug upward on the post until you feel a "snap" as it locks into place.

Disassembling the Tempest Plastic Stanchion

  • STEP 1

Turn stanchion upside down so it’s resting on the cap. Place on a soft surface to protect the finish. Press down firmly on the LAVI logo to release post from base and carefully lower the base down the post.

  • STEP 2

Place stanchion on its side and pull 1 to 2 feet of belt out, pinching or wrapping the belt against the post to prevent it from retracting.

  • STEP 3

Pull the post through the bottom of the base being careful not to trap the belt. Store in a cool, dry place.
