New resource illustrates how airports can improve access control and enhance passenger flow with premium architectural partition walls and gates.
Valencia, CA (October 18, 2018) - Lavi Industries, a leader in queue management and public guidance solutions for the transportation industry, has released a new resource detailing how airports are using the company’s architectural partition walls and gates to improve access control and enhance passenger flow.
As the International Air Transport Association recently predicted a doubling of annual air travel between 2016 and 2035, it says new airports will be built and existing airports will have to respond to capacity strains on facilities.
“In the face of increasing passenger counts, airports will continue to demand solutions that can facilitate a smooth flow of passengers and help maintain control over where passengers are permitted to go. These solutions need to be effective, flexible, and architecturally-appealing to enhance the airport brand and aesthetic,“ explains Perry Kuklin, Director of Marketing for Lavi Industries.
As detailed in the new Lavi Industries airport use case, modular partition walls and gates provide a simple yet powerful solution airports can use to successfully achieve a number of important goals. The architectural solution allows airports to utilize space efficiently; easily create permanent or removable boundaries to accommodate passenger flow; create secure ingress and egress points for access control; and avoid unnecessary structural impacts to the airport environment. Uses include customs and border patrol, airline gates, security, hospitality, queuing, and passenger flow.
Notably, the Lavi Industries modular stainless steel and glass or plexi system fits any space and features locking gates for access control and optional magnetic bases for installation without core drilling. And new to the solution are optional tabletops that easily connect to the top of the partition wall to provide a surface for hospitality or waiting area use.
