Betting outlets are increasingly investing in new digital sign stands to quickly update customers on the latest gambling trends and odds. Taking a page from the live sports media playbook, retail betting businesses allow their in-house audiences to view up-to-the-minute information about the latest odds and lines in a visually stunning and engaging manner.
Implementing digital signage technology could forever change queuing systems and crowd control for retail betting outlets, by allowing bookmakers to entertain gamblers and answer questions. Automating the process will free up staff members to perform other necessary duties.
"Now the audience can grasp every moment of worldwide games all the while simplifying system management for the bookmaker," according to a press release from computing solutions provider NEXCOM.
Screens involved in the digital presentation will be devoted to different athletic contests being bet upon, such as basketball games and dog races.
According to the blog Digital Signage Today, companies that have already implemented or are beginning to embrace this emerging technology are getting great value for the budgets dedicated to these systems. In addition, the digital signage industry is expected to grow by approximately 20 percent through 2016.
