Lavi Industries ‘Virtual Queuing’ Technology Takes the Wait out of the Retail Checkout Process

Qtrac VR frees customers to continue shopping while waiting for services; facilitates direct customer communication via mobile phone text and in-store displays; increases service efficiency.
January 14, 2013

Valencia, California - Lavi Industries, a national leader in crowd control and queue management technologies, redefines the retail checkout process with a virtual electronic queuing solution that frees customers to shop longer, enhances direct in-store customer communication and increases service efficiency, greatly improving the customer experience.

Qtrac VR Virtual Electronic Queuing allows customers to queue for services without having to physically wait in line.

Customers register at a kiosk for a desired service and receive a ticket that specifies their unique call number, the service for which they registered, and their estimated wait time. While waiting for service, customers can relax or continue shopping, reducing perceived wait times and increasing overall satisfaction.

When a service agent clicks a service button on the service agent screen, the customer is instantly called via in-store electronic display and audio or via text message sent directly to the customer’s mobile phone.

“Virtual queuing is highly effective for dispersing waiting crowds and creating a pleasant customer environment, while maximizing customer flow and service efficiency,” said Perry Kuklin, director of marketing for Lavi Industries. “Qtrac VR uniquely frees customers to shop while they wait, increasing sales while decreasing perceived wait times. It also affords multiple opportunities for retailers to communicate directly with customers via the ticket, the LCD display, and text messaging.”

“Available as a cloud-based SaaS application, Qtrac VR is a fully scalable browser-based application,” continued Mr. Kuklin. “It can be deployed rapidly to manage customer queuing in a single area or an entire region--all without the traditional IT costs of installing and maintaining complex software applications. Qtrac VR may also be the industry’s most cost-effective queuing solution. Accessed from anywhere with an Internet browser, Qtrac VR integrates existing IT assets with its proprietary customer registrations kiosks, ticket printers, LCD media displays and hand-held devices.”

Lavi Industries will demonstrate Qtrac VR and other public guidance technologies in booth #2727 at NRF 2013 in New York, January 13-15.
