Lavi Industries Announces Real-Time Queue Analytics for Intelligent Queue Management

New video-based ‘Qtrac iQ’ delivers instant updates, enables retailers to quickly adjust to changing store conditions for a superior customer experience.
January 14, 2013

Valencia, California - Lavi Industries, a national leader in crowd control and queue management technologies, today announced the introduction of video-based queue analytics, a real-time intelligence solution that enables retailers to improve the shopping experience for their customers while optimizing store operations.

Lavi’s new Qtrac IQ is a 3-D video-based platform that integrates data capture and intelligent analysis in a single device. Qtrac IQ determines queue lengths and customer counts, tracks individual and average queue wait times, monitors service times and customers serviced, and can even predict customer wait times and service allocation requirements.

The Qtrac IQ dashboard displays all queue intelligence in real time and can alert store personnel via email, text or page if queue lengths or wait times exceed pre-determined key performance indicators. The system can also inform customers of queue wait times to help distribute traffic and increase customer flow.

“The availability of real-time queue analytics is a game changer for retailers who understand that significant revenues are won and lost at the checkout lane,” said Perry Kuklin, director of marketing for Lavi Industries. “Qtrac IQ equips retailers with the intelligence they need to make immediate adjustments to staffing and queue configurations, rather than try and optimize queue performance based on outdated, historical traffic data.”

Qtrac IQ’s stereo video technology filters out sunlight, shadows and reflections and prevents image dropping and blending to provide better than 95 percent accuracy. The system’s onboard processing streams only XML data for fast communication and utilizes power over Ethernet for fast, easy deployment.

Lavi Industries will demonstrate Qtrac IQ and other public guidance technologies in booth #2727 at NRF 2013 in New York, January 13-15.
