A partition post is an extruded aluminum stanchion with patented dovetail grooves and no belt mechanism. Panels, slatwall, signs, and banner hardware slide into the grooves, making the post the structural foundation of Post & Panel barriers, NeXtrac merchandising systems, and overhead signage.

What is the difference between a partition post and a retractable belt stanchion?

The post and grooves are identical. A retractable belt stanchion includes a belt cassette; a partition post does not. Choose a partition post when the run does not need a belt.

Can partition posts and retractable belt stanchions be used in the same run?

Yes. Both use the same extrusion and base options, so belted and beltless posts can be combined in a single line without adapters.

What attaches to a partition post?

Post & Panel barrier panels and gates, NeXtrac slatwall and wire grid panels, hinged frame sign panels, banner sign hardware, rigid rail sign kits, end cap signs, and overhead sign kits.

What heights are available?

Standard posts stand 40 inches on a sloped base and 38.5 inches on slim and magnetic bases. Tall posts are available in 52, 66, 72, 84, and 96 inches.

Should I choose a portable or magnetic base?

Choose portable when the layout changes or the posts move between spaces. Choose magnetic when a fixed layout is required and you want the option of removing the posts.

Are partition posts the same as Beltrac 3000 stanchions?

They share the same post extrusion, groove design, base options, finishes, and five-year warranty. The partition post is the Beltrac 3000 without the belt mechanism.
