Outer Perpendicular Collar for 2-inch OD Tubing

Description

A perpendicular collar that mounts over the tube end instead of inside it. The 819/2 slips onto the outside of a 2-inch OD tube, locks with a set screw, and receives a second 2-inch tube at a right angle, so a branch can be added to a finished rail without opening a tube end. Polished brass, sized for .050-inch wall tubing.

Description

Inside-fit collars need access to the open end of a tube. When the tube is already capped, welded, or set in a flange, an outer collar is the answer. The 819/2 slides over the outside of a 2-inch OD tube, locks with a set screw, and presents a socket for a second 2-inch tube at 90 degrees. Because it rotates on the main tube before it is locked, the branch can be aimed to any clock position and fixed there. It is cast in polished brass and fits .050-inch wall tubing, matching the rest of the 2-inch brass family. The visible collar band is part of the look, a traditional detail on brass guard rails and picket runs. Where a flush joint is wanted, the inside-fit 818/2 and the coped 818CP/2 hide the fitting in the tube end instead. Ships from US inventory.
