Lavi Industries Introduces a Free Black Friday Crowd Management E-Book for Retailers

Lavi Industries has released a free 15-page e-book for retailers, featuring best practices for Black Friday crowd safety and operational efficiency.

Valencia, California – As the retail industry prepares to kick off its busy holiday shopping season, crowd management is a top concern. According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), a record 226 million consumers shopped in stores and online between the Thursday and Sunday surrounding Black Friday last year. To help retailers plan ahead for this year, Lavi Industries announces a free e-book that communicates best practices for crowd safety and operational efficiency.

The visually-engaging e-book presents safety and crowd management guidelines as handed down by the NRF and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Event planning and setup, event-time communication and crowd management strategies, and special tips for handling emergencies are covered. The e-book also offers suggestions that can boost customer satisfaction and increase operational efficiency by as much as 35% during the busy holiday shopping season. These suggestions include single-line queuing, electronic queuing, and in-line merchandising.

OSHA encourages employers to adopt effective safety and health management systems to identify and eliminate work-related hazards, including those caused by large crowds at retail sales events.
